Georgian broadcaster has opted to continue using Georgian Idol as the selection format for Eurovision, and applications are now open for the next season of the talent show.
GPB have begun the search for their next Eurovision participant, with the application period for the next season of Georgian Idol now open. The application form can be found here.
There are no further details on the next edition of the show, although it is expected that it will be the selection format for both the artist and the song that will represent Georgia at Eurovision in 2020.
In 2019, Georgian Idol was used to select the Eurovision representative, with Oto Nemsadze the eventual winner of the series. He represented Georgia with the song ‘Keep On Going’ which unfortunately failed to qualify for the final. Watch the performance below:
